Preparing to be a Father

Mark 11:22

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered.

We’re almost 37 weeks. I so like touching the baby bump and the look on my wife’s face glowing with expectation.
I see more and more baby things in the house now. All for a person who is yet to see the world.

I think about what she would look like. I think about how she would smell? I think about putting my finder on the folds of her arms and leg.
I think I can hear her voice. The sound of her cry, her giggles, her call for attention.

We talk about how to raise her. We talk about the sacrifices we are willing to take. That Mommy would stay at home and Daddy goes out to work.
While we wait for the labor pain to signal, we are ready. The books, the bags, the contacts. The plan is all in place.

All these going on, I should be happy. But, why do I feel unbalanced? Why do I feel uneasy. I feel such a strong emotion I cannot contain.
I look in my heart, is it fear? Is it a fight against responsibility? Is it a feeling of helplessness? Is it that I feel that things are going out of control?

All I know, is that my heart is pounding, my emotions are raging, my mind is searching for answers… I do not know.
Can I be a good Father?

I can’t find the answer.
I can’t sake this feeling What should I do?
I do not know.

I’ll let the feeling stay and trust that all will be well. That the answers I am looking for will be revealed in due time.
I’ll  trust that I will be capable to handle whatever comes my way.

For now, I’ll be a supporting husband.
Someone who carries a whole lot of understanding, patience and love.

Change is Good

Romans 8:23

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

I pray to God to shake me and move me.

That through the changes that happen in my life I can be truly dependent on Him.

I pray for the changes to come.

Changes that will make me look up to sky and call on the Lord will all my heart.

I pray for strong challenges

Challenges that will push me to the limit to unlock the potential of my mind.

I pray for the courage to move with inspiration.

An inspiration that is so strong to keep my fears in check.

I pray to have the faith to believe that God will lead me and give me success.

A faith that grows and see the good in everything.

Because I know that all things God works for the good of those who love him.

A Deeper Relationship

Hebrews 10:22

Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a quality conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
Majority of the things we do in life are connected to having relationship. Our ability to create healthy and deeper relationship determines the result of an endeavor, may it be in work, life and love.

How the boss at work accomplishes tasks for the company depends on how he moves his people who follow him. How someone who wants/needs something and enlists other to help him get it. To the lovers who trust and believe all will turn out well in the future, as long as they are together. Relationships, connections, matter.
The more we get closer to God, the more we build our relationship with him.  We then, increase our faith in Him, not just ordinary faith but quality faith.  With this solid faith, the more we accomplish in life and in our spiritual life. As we grow closer to Him, we depend on Him more. We surrender more and more to Him and more of His plan goes in to our life.
Strive to have a deeper relationship with God. Connect with Him on a higher level.

All for Good

James 5:13

Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.
When we pray, we raise our concerns to God. We learn to put our trust in him. We learn to depend on him. This dependence increases our faith and gives us hope. To get up and move forward each and every single day needs faith and hope. We build an attitude that is certain that all will turn out for the good.

To be in a state of gratitude is to see all that is best in us. Praise God for everything that he has done for us. He gives us all that we have and we should remember that all things he gave  us is for a reason.
May we focus to seek him each and every second of our day. To look at things through God’s eyes, and to see that all things are of God.

Claim it, it’s yours

Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours.

Jesus said: “Have faith in God”.
Every time I come across this verse, I am reminded how Jesus tells us to believe and have faith. How we should claim our rightful blessing from the heavens. That we are all worthy and capable to receive his blessing. To be successful.
God’s grace is overflowing, it is endless. We need to tap in the source (first and always)  and open our hearts to receive.
If you are placed in a difficult situation, know that you already have it. Press on. If you are ready to give up, stay strong, Hold on. If you can’t move forward, believe that all will turn out for the good. Step out in faith.
Trust in God, Call on to Him. Keep the love. Dream on. Move Forward… Claim it , it’s yours.

God's Will

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
With all the things that needs to be done and all the busyness of this life, I thank God for pulling me to His love and taking time to talk to me. I appreciate the quiet and alone time. I can steady my mind and talk to God. I would like to do the same even if life’s activities hit me hard and fast.
I will learn to truly be joyful and prayerful. I will learn to give thanks in all circumstances. For all is good in God’s will. For it will make me more like Jesus Christ.

I will train my mind and my heart to think of God’s will in my life in every situation, and know that all is from Him.
All these I raise to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Amen.

Back on Track

2 John 1:9

Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.

I’ve been moving along in my personal life and work, striving to be the best that I can be. At first, I have Jesus in my heart, but as I move forward, I lost him.

Yes, I pray and read the bible but the flame that I once have, the love that was so strong for the Lord has weakened.
I achieved a lot of things but I lost something very dear to me. ~ This is my connection with Jesus my Lord and God.

I want to feel the intensity of the connection, the sincerity of the talks, the warmth of the relationship, the solid trust.
I want that all back again.

Let me move back on track toward your presence. Help me make Quality Time for you. Move my ways, change my plans. Let me reach out to you. Help me get back on track.

Thank you for pulling me back in. All these I raise up to you my Lord and My God Jesus Christ. Amen
